How does the Dermamelan Peel treat Melasma?

Dermamelan Mesoestetic Peel is a topical treatment used to treat all types of pigmentation. Including difficult to treat hormonal melasma. The peel consists of a combination of active ingredients, including hydroquinone, retinoic acid, kojic acid, and various botanical extracts.

The treatment works by inhibiting the production of melanin, the pigment responsible for skin coloration. It also promotes cell turnover to fade existing pigmentation and prevent new spots from forming.

What to expect during your Dermamelan Treatment 

After cleansing your skin, your skin care specialist will apply a Dermamelan mask. It has the consistency of a thick moisturiser. The mask is created by your special, bespoke for your skin type and concerns. It should be noted that this mask is to remain on for approximately 8-12 hours, or as discussed with your skin specialist. The length of time will depend on the severity of your pigmentation and skin type.

You may experience some tingling and stinging when you wash the mask off at home. Your skin may feel tight, red, and slightly swollen, and peeling will start in the days following.

An at home skincare regime will be tailored for your post treatment, to aid in the recovery phase and help deliver the best results. Post treatment instructions will be provided by your LUUM skincare specialist.
