Sylfirm X- is Radiofrequency microneedling — this offers the collagen-inducing and re-texturising effects of microneedling, along with the skin-tightening effects of radiofrequency heat.

Treatments take anywhere from 10-50 minutes depending on the area and concern.

For a full course of treatment, we recommend anywhere from three-to-six sessions performed four-to-six weeks apart with Sylfirm X. Remember that the results won't come overnight, as building new collagen takes anywhere from four to twelve weeks. Once your desired outcome is achieved we recommend yearly maintenance.

Redness and possibly some mild swelling for the 24hours post treatment are to be expected, followed by some dryness.

Like any medical or cosmetic procedure, radio-frequency microneedling does carry some risks and potential side effects, although they are generally mild and temporary. Some of the most common risks and side effects associated with Sylfirm-X include:
• Redness and swelling: The skin may appear red and slightly swollen for a few hours to a few days after the procedure.
• Bruising and pinpoint bleeding: Some individuals may experience mild bruising or pinpoint bleeding at the treatment site.
• Infection: There is a risk of infection if the needles used during the procedure are not properly sterilized.
• Allergic reactions: Some people may develop an allergic reaction to the topical products used during the procedure.
• Hyperpigmentation: In rare cases, skin needling can cause areas of the skin to darken (hyperpigmentation) or lighten (hypopigmentation).
• Scarring: Although rare, there is a risk of scarring if the procedure is performed incorrectly or the skin is not properly cared for after the treatment.

Sylfirm X is less painful than competitors thanks to its non-coated needles, or uninsulated electrodes, as opposed to Morpheus 8's coated needles. This means that when the needles are inserted into the tissue, they emit radio frequency from the full length of the needles rather than just the coated tips, which leads to more pain. The treatment can be described a mild prickling and is rated a 3/10- however we can apply topical anaesthetic prior if desired.
